Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
| What is a HeatBack? A heat exchanger that recovers spilled energy from wastewater. Who is the HeatBack for? The HeatBack is especially designed for the benefit of householders. It can instantly capture and enable reuse of most of the energy from wastewater that would otherwise be wasted. The HB is capable of pre-heating the cold water to your heater. How does it work? The HeatBack is a compact heat exchanger, installed in your drain system and used for quick response delivery of waste heat from short burst rinsing, such as in domestic applications. It consists of a moulded routing system, taking heat carrying spillage to a spout over a shallow rigid close-wound copper spiral, inviting gravitational and centrifugal assisted turbulence and repeated contact regulated by guides for boosting heat transference and stretching peak performance.
